Oscillations of anode front-end electronics on the GIF beam at CERN (GIF OFF)
Oscillations.
- the most straightforward way to check oscillations presence is to measure a time
difference between the first and the second signal in given channel with use of multi hit
TDC. The fraction of events with at least two signals in channel is presented for each plane
(see page 1 of the Plot ,
run 365, thresholds from
Table 1) . As we see the contribution is less than 1% (channels out of region 9-14 have very
small occupancy and therefore
large errors). The time difference distribution is on the page 2 of the
Plot and the peak is centered at 243 nsec (
corresponding frequency is about
4 MHz). There were a few cases of stable oscillations
("latch" mode) during the run in the GIF hall (see logbook) .
